Car 69 Ken Brown won the Baby Grand Feature. 2nd Place Car 10 Dale Edwards also had Best lap time 13.668 in lap 9 Top speed 65.847 mi/h. 3rd Place Car 44 Doug Voisey. There was a lots of action through out the night, which included a 4 car pile-up. Car 17 Jeff Shymanski & Car 24 Layne Hamilton were damaged too much to continue.

Sunday September 27 Edmonton International Raceway Length 0.2500 mi
Car 10 Dale Edwards won the Baby Grand Feature. Edwards also had the Best lap time 13.424 in lap 8 Top speed 67.044 mi/h. 2nd Place Car 69 Ken Brown. 3rd Place Car 7 Travis Dolter. Layne Hamilton had to run a rental Car 88 to end the season, as his car was too badly damaged from the night before.

Interview with Baby Grand Canada Northwest Scaled Late Models Evolution Racing & Performance Products Car 10 Dale Edwards.
Velocity: “How long have you been racing Baby Grands?”
Dale Edwards: “This is my 6th year of racing Baby Grands, in 2008 I started in the mini cup class & moved into the Baby Grand.”
Velocity: “This year you have been unstoppable.”
Dale Edwards: “Yes, we have been more fortunate the last 2 years, in the Championship last year & the hunt for it this year.”
Velocity: “The EIR announcer tells the fans it was going to be a good race when you start on tail or close to back, as you will make it to the front.”
Dale Edwards: “Yeah we enjoy putting on a show. Obviously, it is one thing to runaway from the front, but it always more fun to start from the back & make a show out of it for everybody.”
Velocity: “So you are running Baby Grand’s which is a spec class, do you find it even between all the cars, is it a sealed engine?”
Dale Edwards: “No it is not a sealed engine like the mini cups, it is fairly strict though, we have limited things we can do. So for the most part they are pretty similar in the engine.”
Velocity: “So is the big thing you can do in this class is the set-up in this class?
Dale Edwards: “Yes that is the big difference.”
Velocity: “Last night there was a big crash in the Baby Grand Feature, you missed it but seemed to have a tire problem.
Dale Edwards: “Yeah we squeaked through the crash but had to come in for the left rear went flat & had to come in & change that.
Velocity: “After the tire change you were still able to get a finish.”
Dale Edwards: “We came in 2nd but contended for the win.”
Velocity: “How would you describe a Baby Grand compared to other oval race cars?”
Dale Edwards: “In all honestly it is closest thing to a late model, it is a perfectly scaled down version of a super late model.”

One note all rewards were well deserved, I did like that father & son, Douglas Voisey Sr. & Jr. were booth named Top Rookies in their classes. I had interviewed Doug Sr. & Douglas Jr. at the start of the season. Jr. started in the Evolution CupCar Series & Sr. started in the baby Grand Series.
