Starting from 11th place Car 9 Chase Elliott Mountain Dew/Little Caesar’s Chevrolet won the 50th Annual GEICO 500, his 4th win in 123 Monster Energy Cup Series races. This is his 1st win & 3rd Top 10 finish in 2019. This is his 1st win & 3rd Top 10 finish in 7 races at Talladega Superspeedway. 2nd Place Car 88 Alex Bowman Nationwide Chevrolet, started from 9th place posted his 2nd Top 10 finish in 8 races at Talladega Superspeedway. It is his 1st Top 10 finish in 2019. The runner-up finish is a career best for Bowman. His previous best was 3rd at Pocono Raceway (July 29, 2018). 3rd Place Car 47 Ryan Preece # Kroger Chevrolet, started from 30th place posted his 1st Top 10 finish in 1 races at Talladega Superspeedway. This was a career best finish for Preece. His previous best was 8th, in this year’s Daytona 500. Ryan Preece was the highest finishing rookie.
