COVID-19 UPDATE (APRIL 24, 2020)
In light of the most recent mandate regarding mass gatherings restrictions from Alberta Health Services, Dr.Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health (April 23, 2020), Castrol Raceway has been forced to take extreme measures in regards to the upcoming motorsport season.

The following information details immediate plan to action; please review carefully, we will do our best to provide clarity on the situation and answer questions to the best of our ability at this time.

ANNIHILATION NIGHT: Absolute Annihilation Night will be postponed to Saturday, September 5, 2020.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONALS: The Rocky Mountain Nationals event scheduled for July 10- 12, 2020 has been suspended until July 9- 11, 2021. Any persons holding current event passes will automatically be given a credit/event ticket exchange toward the 2021 event. Our Team will begin processing exchanges on Monday, April 27; you will receive an exchange confirmation notice directly to your email address Inbox; you do not need to contact Castrol Raceway to initiate the exchange process. We anticipate with our very limited personnel recourses, it may take up to 2 weeks to process the exchanges. If you have not received a confirmation update prior to Friday, May 8, 2020- please contact info@castrolraceway.com. Note: Please check Junkmail prior to contact.

DIRT OVAL RACING: Dirt Track Race events have been suspended until further notice. Please contact http://www.ginganinjadirt.com for further information.

PARTICIPANT BASED EVENTS: Participant competition and enthusiast based programs including Street Legal, Bracket Drag, Road Course (Competitive, Educational, and Open Lap format), and Drift events have been suspended until further notice. Castrol Raceway has made Appeal with Albert Health Services to open non-public events with the mass gathering/social distancing parameters in place. We understand and sincerely acknowledge moving forward with large “public” Fan based events such as the Rocky Mountain Nationals would be negligent to our community at this time, however we believe participant based competition and enthusiast programs can be readily administered in regards to mass gatherings and social distancing restrictions.

AUGUST & BEYOND: At this time Castrol Raceway will defer all late summer event and program assessments until July 1, 2020. Moving forward, we will continue to adhere to all Canadian Public Health Services restrictions and/or guidelines. The unpredictable nature of our current business, social, and personal climate presents an opportunity for optimism for the future or our facility, our motorsport community, our Fans, Family, Friends, Supporters, and Partners.

The health and well-being of our Race Teams, Guests, and community has always and continues to be our top priority. Our motorsport community ‘literally’ entrusts us with their ‘on-track’ safety and well being each and ever time they visit our facility, we will do no less when it concerns “off track” safety.

Our number one priority is ALWAYS the safety or our participants and Guests both on and off the Track; If we did not have complete confidence in our ability to host events while maintaining protection and prevention of Covid-19 in our community, we would not make an appeal to move forward.

We are currently experiencing a high volume to calls and communication, please be patient with us at this time. The Castrol Raceway Office Team will be working remotely until further notice; questions or comments may be directed to info@castrolraceway.com; Office phone messages will be monitored daily, please be patient as it may take a few days to return your call.
