William Byron won the 64th Annual Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Atlanta Motor Speedway was repaved & improved with a higher banked oval track making it a 1 ½ mile Super Speedway. It was just like Daytona with Speedway cars, drafting & speeds of 180 miles per hour. Starting from 12th place Car 24 William Byron Liberty University Chevrolet won the 64th Annual Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, his 3rd win in 149 NASCAR Cup Series races. This is his 1st win & 2nd Top 10 finish in 2022. This is his 1st win & 2nd Top 10 finish in 6 races at Atlanta Motor Speedway. 2nd Place Car 1 Ross Chastain Advent Health Chevrolet, started from 7th place posted his 1st Top 10 finish in 5 races at Atlanta Motor Speedway. It is his 3rd Top 10 finish in 2022. 3rd Place Car 45 Kurt Busch Monster Energy Toyota, started from 9th place posted his 17th Top 10 finish in 32 races at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

4th Place Car 99 Daniel Suarez CommScope Chevrolet, started from 13th place followed by 5th place Car 7 Corey LaJoie Fraternal Order of Eagles Chevrolet, started from 33rd place. 6th Place Car 9 Chase Elliott NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet, started from 6th place followed by 7th place Car 17 Chris Buescher ITsavvy Ford, started from 14th place. 8th Place Car 19 Martin Truex Jr. Bass Pro Shops Toyota, started from 26th place followed by 9th place Car 22 Joey Logano Shell Pennzoil Ford, started from 3rd place. Lastly in the Top 10 was Car 48 Alex Bowman Ally Chevrolet, in 10th place, started from 11th place. Harrison Burton (25th) was the highest finishing rookie. Chase Elliott leads the point standings by 7 points over Joey Logano.
