FRIDAY, June 10

DRAG STRIP: JB’S POWER CENTRE STREET LEGAL. Castrol Raceway works very closely with the RCMP, Edmonton Police Department, and numerous local High Schools not only to promote the sport, but to encourage young street racers to take their passion for speed to a safe environment. Join us at the race track and race your vehicle during the weekly JB’s Power Centre Street Legal. As long as your vehicle is register-able and insurable… you’re good to go! Race All Night for only $40. Spectators: $10. Gates Open at 5 PM, Racing at 6:30 PM: Tech Closes most nights at 9 PM

SATURDAY, June 11

DRAG STRIP: IHRA DIVISION 6 PRO/AM EVENT. For 2016, Summit Racing Equipment continues its partnership with IHRA on the Summit Racing Equipment Pro-Am Tour. Racers competing in Good Vibrations Top Sportsman, Good Vibrations Top Dragster, Super Stock, Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod will compete for both Pro-Am and World Championships within the series. These drivers make up the backbone of IHRA drag racing with their competitiveness and skill.

Racers attending Summit Pro-Am Tour events and are eligible to win a Championship within one of IHRA’s six Pro-Am Divisions. The program is designed to allow drivers a chance to achieve championship status and earn prize money all while minimizing travel. Recently, Summit has increased the champions award and included third place in the points fund. Summit Pro-Am Champions in each class will receive $2,000, Runners-up will earn $500 and third place finishers earn $250 each.

Champions will also receive an IHRA Ironman and an IHRA Gold Card. The top 3 drivers in each of the seven classes within their divisions earn automatic entry into the Summit Racing Equipment Tournament of Champions contested at the World Finals.

Run order for the event will be Hot Rod, Stock, Quick Rod, Top Sportsman, Super Rod, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Junior Beginner, Junior Advanced and Junior Masters.

**MAY 28 RAIN-OUT RESCHEDULED FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT. ALL TICKETS FROM MAY 28 WILL BE HONOURED**

Fun for the whole family! Fans are on their edge of their seats as these high tech cars thunder down the straightaway reaching speeds over 200 kmph! During intermission fans may have the opportunity to meet the race car drivers and see their cars up close! Spectators: Adult $20, Youth $10, Kids 5 & Under FREE

Castrol Raceway, Canada’s Premier Motorsports Complex, annually hosts over 100 races including the nationally recognized events: IHRA MOPAR Rocky Mountain Nitro Jam Nationals, Hot August Night, and Monster Truck Throwdown. In addition to the ¼ mile IHRA Sanctioned Drag Strip, 3/8 mile Clay Oval Track and 10 acre Pro Motocross Track, a brand new 2.7 km FIA sanctioned Paved Road Course opened at the Raceway in 2013.
