Starting from 10th place Car 3 Jason Hathaway Muskoka Aircraft Center/HGC Chevrolet won the Pinty’s presents the Clarington 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. This is Hathaway’s 1st Road-course win & 7th career NASCAR Canadian Tire Series win. 2nd Place Car 47 L.P. This was an emotional win Jason Hathaway who took the lead on lap 49 and was able to hold leaf until the checkered flag. Jason Hathaway 394 points is now tied Andrew Ranger with 394 points for 2nd place in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Championship. Points leader Scott Steckly has a 9 point lead with 403 points. The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series championship will come down to the last race September 19 in the Pinty’s 200 at Kawartha Speedway. Kawartha Speedway is a .375 Mile Semi-banked oval in Fraserville, ON. Being oval specialists, the odds on favorites would have to be Scott Steckly with 2 Kawartha Speedway wins & Jason Hathaway with 1 Kawartha Speedway win. In racing nothing is for sure, as Andrew Ranger & L.P. Dumoulin could be the spoilers for Scott Steckly & Jason Hathaway.
