Racers’ Marketing & Sales Seminar put on by Herman Hordahl

Saturday, January 28
10 am to 2 pm (or so!)

RACERS! You ALWAYS need a sponsor, this is not a fly by night presentation, Herman has an excellent background and he is willing to share his knowledge with you!

This will be a very interesting and worthwhile seminar – Herman has a great presentation on how to find Sponsors & how to keep them! Everyone is welcome – the cost is only $25 per person and includes Lunch! This will be at the Royal Executive Inn in Nisku.

I have seen the preliminary draft of Herman’s Presentation, you have to come! It will be an excellent presentation and ALL Racers will find it very useful! Please email me to confirm your attendance so that I have a room big enough!

Come on Racers! Race Season is JUST around the corner!

Dear EIR Racers,
The 2017 Race Season seems far away but really it isn’t that far! In preparation for your Race Season and your search for Sponsors we want to encourage you to take Herman’s presentation on Saturday, January 28 at the Executive Inn Hotel in Nisku at 10 am. I have sent out tons of emails and Facebook updates in this regard, I really hope you try hard to attend.

Also, just to remind those of you that know and to let our new Racers know, as part of your Registration to EIR we provide you some great sponsorship appreciation value. The first is a letter of Thank You and 6 event tickets to each of your Sponsors. All you need to do is provide me with the contact name and the business and mailing address, I send them a Thank You letter on behalf of yourself, your team and EIR for sponsoring your team. I do not solicit these sponsors in any way, just a letter thanking them and to let them know that we value and appreciate their involvement.

The other bonus that EIR provides for you is our Sponsor Appreciation Night. This year we have targeted August 5th, August 19th, August 26th and September 9th so that we capture each of EIR’s classes. With this program, you would invite your Sponsors to EIR for a complimentary night of racing with hospitality (BBQ Meal) and seats in the Sea-Can Corporate Suites. You would provide me with an RSVP Guest list by the Thursday before the Saturday. The cost would only be $10.00 for you for each of your guests. I think your Sponsors will remember this as an awesome payback and secure your team for the next year and even provide new sponsors for 2018. You can invite current or potential sponsors, this is totally up to you!

Keep these in mind, remember you have to be a Registered Racer with EIR to participate in the Sponsor Appreciation.
Thanks everyone!
Loretta

Edmonton International Raceway (E.I.R) Volunteers

Get involved in motorsports: volunteer!

Volunteering is what makes events happen from the organizers of the event to the person taking your ticket; it takes a lot of people to make an event work. The best way to watch a race is to be in the race car, the 2nd best way is to be a volunteer.

Oval Racing Volunteer positions:
Race Director, Corner Marshals, Rescue personnel: Ambulance crew, Fireman & Clean-up Crew, Tow Truck driver, Pace Car Driver, Track Announcer, Timing personnel, Tech, Registration & Back Gate, Starter, Pitlane, Stop & go, Lineups, Pace Car Driver, Clean-up Crew & Security.

Edmonton Int’l Raceway Statement:

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is doing well!
I know it seems early but I just wanted to get started on our Staff and Volunteers for 2017. Please let me know if you are interested in coming back again in 2017 and in what role. I could use a few more security and parking people for sure, if I get some more then they can rotate and not be left in the parking lot all night! If you know of anyone who wants to help in any capacity, please let me know!

Thank you!
Loretta
