2014 NASCC Ice Race Season is Cancelled

Jan 25/14

Mike Elhard Vice-Prsident NORTHERN ALBERTA SPORTS CAR CLUB (NASCC) said

“It is official, the 2014 NASCC Ice race season is cancelled
All lakes in the region and some outside of our normal boundaries have been deemed not conducive to safe ice racing.

Early snow and fluctuating temps are the main contributing factors. Most lakes only have 4-6 inches of blue ice with levels of rotten ice and snow-pack on top.

Rest assured the NASCC has devoted over 100 hours into testing and preparing for this season however As of January 25 2014 we are cancelled.

The winter festival of speed at this time is still a ‘go.’ Stand by for further information.

Also ERC rally X will Go as planned at Castrol Raceway $40 entry for all NASCC members rubber tires and DOT studs only”
