Rob also stated “Layne’s Evolution Cupcar career has come to an end Thank you so much to all who have helped him to achieve all of this. Action Restoration Ltd., Global Signs, 3 Boys Tank/Vac, Greenslades Disposal, Bobcat of Calgary, Evolution Racing and Performance Products. Thank you also to all our family and friends who have followed Layne throughout the years either at the track or online.” Watch for Layne Hamilton driving a full time Baby Grand plus maybe some other surprises. His brother Blake Hamilton has some big shoes to fill but had a good year with consistency & improvement.

A few quick tips for winterizing your mini cup cars.

1- Add fuel stabilizer to the tank and run the engine for 5 minutes. This will protect the carburetor and its components. (some will drain the tank completely once done running)

2- Use an engine fog lubricant in the cylinder to prevent rust.

3- charge the battery to full capacity and store in the garage. You may also want to hook up a battery tender to the battery for the winter.

4- store the chassis on jack stands, relieving the weight off of the shocks.

5- if you store the car in your trailer, remove the engine from the car and store in the basement or garage.

Once this has all been done, start a list of repairs required before the 2015 opening race weekend. Plan your winter months correctly and you wont be in such a rush come May!

Stay tuned for the Evolution Cupcar & Baby Grand car show appearances, plus 2015 schedule coming soon!
