Smith is the 20th different driver to win the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship.
Smith won the NASCAR Camping World Truck season finale at Phoenix Raceway to win the title.
Smith finished the 2022 season with 23 starts, four wins, 14 top fives and 19 top 10s.
During the Playoffs this season, Smith has posted one win, five top fives and six top 10s.
Smith, from Huntington Beach, California, is the fifth different NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion from the state of California; joining Mike Skinner (1995 champion), Ron Hornaday Jr. (1996, 1998, 2007, 2009), Matt Crafton (2013, 2014, 2019) and Sheldon Creed (2020).
