Being the end of the season it was a cool weekend, that didn’t stop the exciting oval racing on the track for the fans. It was a full weekend of racing with NASCAR Super Stocks Invitational, Feature Stock & Mini Stock Invitational, IMCA Modifieds, Mini Cups & Baby Grands. Saturday September 26 races had great racing & cautions in all classes. In oval racing 2 cars wide is normal, 3 cars wide is very tight sometimes, it does not work. In the Feature Stock & Mini Stock Invitational race the cars were 3 to 4 cars wide at times, it was like rush hour on the Yellowhead & Deerfoot Trails. Car 85 Cody Bunting spent most of the time going around the track on 3 wheels. Sunday September 27 was not as many cautions but was full of great racing.

For the weekend I was mostly at the wall past the finish line in IMCA Car 25 Chad Malone’s pit. Chad was an old racer all the way from Ottawa Capital Raceway. He moved to Alberta had a family & is now back racing IMCA Modified Car 25 for Max Compression.
