The 2022 Mark Burton Young Guns Classic winner Chase Guidolin is only 7 days away from the green flag, for the 2nd annual Gas City Challenge at the Medicine Hat Speedway. The International Motor Contest Associates Open Wheel Modifieds are coming to your town to compete in the Annugas Roy Ross Memorial Goldbrick 447! This is your only chance to see the “Mods” this year in Medicine Hat, not back on the schedule until next year, don’t miss this one!
In 1996, Roy Ross died while racing at Race City Speedway in Calgary on the Father’s Day weekend. The International Motor Contest Associates and the racers have held a memorial race for the last 27 years. This year we have a 3-day, 3-track event planned for the 27th Anniversary, the Annugas Goldbrick 447 consists of 3 challenge races, and the Roy Ross Memorial Race.
The first race is the Annugas Gas City Challenge on the Standard Jeep Ram opening day, May 27th, event sponsors are Annugas Compression Consulting, Industrial Backhoes, and W2 Construction at the
Medicine Hat Speedway.
The second race is the Pat’s Auto Supply Peace Country Challenge on June 10th at the Hythe Motor Speedway.
The last challenge race is the Roy Ross Memorial Silverstar Challenge sponsored by Silverstar Oilfield Transportation and Tami & Larissa Co. Exp Reality on June 17th at the Edmonton International Raceway in Wetaskiwin.
The Annugas Roy Ross Memorial Race will follow the Silverstar Challenge on the June 17th doubleheader at EIR. This race has become one of the most highly sought-after Championships in Canada. You don’t want to miss out!
Saturday, May 27th – Medicine Hat Speedway
The Annugas Gas City Challenge is the first leg of 3, 47 lap IMCA races, the total day point winner will receive a “Prize Fighter” type of belt, sponsored by Annugas Compression Consulting.
Spectator Gates open at 4:30 PM, IMCA QUALIFYING @ 5 PM, Autograph Session 5:30PM,
THE RACING STARTS AT 6 PM
IMCA Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, Street Stocks, Baby Grands, and V6 Bombers will be putting on a show.
Saturday, June 10th – Hythe Motor Speedway

The Silverstar Challenge is the third and final leg of 3, 47 lap IMCA races, the total day point winner will receive a “Prize Fighter” type of belt, sponsored by Silverstar Oilfield Transportation and Tami & Larissa Co. Exp Reality.
Spectator Gates open at 3 PM, IMCA QUALIFYING @ 4:30 PM, RACING STARTS AT 6 PM
IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Thunder Cars, Mini Cup cars will be putting on a show.
Double Header last race of the night at EIR on June 17th
The 27th running of the Annugas Roy Ross Memorial Race, the driver with the most total day points from 2 of the 3 Challenge races will take the poll starting position followed by the rest of the field based on their points. This is the 2nd time that the Roy Ross will start the fastest cars at the front, proving to be an exciting race to the finish. Drivers will have to be on their toes to make it by all the slower traffic they may come across, we are hoping for lots of lead changes and tons of passing fun.
