NASCC Statement:
The NASCC Executive has decided to postpone the scheduled Feb 1 & 2 Ice Race 2 & 3, due to the expected deep freeze weather and snow. (Or, winter has finally arrived weaher!)
The forecast for the weekend has stayed quite stable in predicting Sunday temperatures to be below our cut off of -20, and the wind chill is significant on both Saturday and Sunday.
The conditions are too miserable to ask our volunteers to spend the day outdoors on Sunday for sure, and are likely too miserable on Saturday.
In addition, if the snowfall predicted occurs on Friday and Saturday we will be hard pressed to clear the track for Saturday morning, and the visibility will be on the terrible side for racing.
So, an extra weekend to prepare your car, and get ready to come out for the Feb 8 & 9 weekend instead.
