Dinosaur Downs Speedway September 11-13, 2020
Dinosaur Downs Speedway finishes the season with three days of action. With a short racing season there was a lot of competition for the track championship and the IMCA Modifieds 2020 Championship.
The safety crews were very busy, but did a great job handling numerous accidents, two rollovers in the claimer division and a hobby stock ending up on it’s side.
Friday and Saturday evenings went to sunset and beyond. A surprise visit from the Alberta Extreme Sprints all weekend, led by legendary racer Pierre Guyon rounded Saturday, Wheeler Boys brought out a wingless sprint to introduce the new class for the 2021 season; Iron Aces Sprint Car Series. The wingless sprints are fast, action packed, methanol burning and more economical to run and transport.
Racers competed from across Alberta as well as Manitoba and Vancouver Island.
Dinosaur Downs Speedway can not thank all the racers, fans, safety crews, sponsors, media, and volunteers who came together to make the 2020 season a memorable success.
