Baby Grand Canada Northwest Scaled Late Models Racing 2016 Re-Cap & 2017 Schedule

The Baby Grand Canada Scaled Late Model is a Baby Grand that is a 2/3 scale replica of a Monster Energy Cup Car Race Car. Powered by a 1300cc Yamaha engine with a 5 speed sequential transmission, these cars can achieve speeds over 150 miles per hour! These Scaled Late Models are spec cars, meaning all cars are manufactured the same way and must maintain factory specifications. This creates a close and exciting series that depends on drivers skill. With the same size roll cage piping as full size late models, plus all the same adjustment areas, race parts and even a quick change rear end, these cars are fast and safe for all competitors ages 14 and up. There are some Rookie’s to watch out for: Evolution CupCar Series Driver Car 77 Faith Addison & Medicine Hat Speedway club president & former Elite Street Stock Driver Car 6 Rick Jondreau. Faith Addison will be running 2 classes, Evolution CupCar Series & Baby Grands. Rick Jondreau was thinking of doing a different challenge, both of these drivers will be a nice addition to the class.

The 2016 Edmonton International Raceway Baby Grand Championship came down to the last race of season. The Championship was won by Car 95 James McKennitt with 345 points over Rookie Car 18 Tyler Emond 343. The results of the last race: Car 10 Dale Edwards won the Baby Grand Feature Race at Edmonton International Raceway (EIR). * New Track Record (13.375) for Baby Grand by Dale Edwards. 2nd Place Car 69 Ken Brown. 3rd Place Car 95 James McKennitt. There was great racing though-out the season, with many different winners. Car 10 Dale Edwards was only able to make the last race, but won it as if he raced the whole season. The other driver that was great to watch was Car 22 Michael Kipp who won every Edmonton International Raceway Baby Grand main event he was in.
