EchoPark Speedway Track

  • Located just south of Atlanta on 850 majestic acres in Hampton, Ga., today’s
EchoPark Speedway is one of the country’s premier sports and entertainment facilities.
  • In 1990, Speedway Motorsports acquired the track and renamed it Atlanta Motor Speedway. 35 years later they have renamed the track EchoPark Speedway.
  • On July 6, 2021, the Next Generation of Atlanta Motor Speedway was unveiled as the track was re-imagined and re-paved. The multi-million dollar project took six months to complete.
  • The banking in the four turns at Atlanta were increased to 28 degrees in 2021, making them the steepest turns in NASCAR on a 1.5-mile track.
  • Did You Know? In 1994, Tara Place, the nine-story building that houses 46 luxury condominiums, Tara Ballroom, the speedway office complex, and more luxury suites opened, as did the adjacent Tara
Clubhouse and its accompanying swimming pool and tennis courts.

ATLANTA’S RECONFIGURED TRACK CREATES UNIQUE RACING
This is the ninth Atlanta race since the reconfiguration to the drafting style prior to the 2022 races
Atlanta held two races a year from 1960- 2010, except for 1961 when three races were held, one race a year from 2011-2020, then returned to two races in 2021
Beginning in 2023, both Atlanta races were shortened to 400 miles
The pass for the win came in the final two laps in six of the last seven races on New Atlanta, and on the final lap in four of the last six races
Four of the eight races at the new Atlanta ended under caution
Ford’s Qualifying Dominance at Atlanta
Ford won the pole for all six races with qualifying on New Atlanta
Ford only has two wins despite winning the pole for each with qualifying
