Snowmobile Drag Racing with the Straightline Snowmobile Racing Associate
The Straightline Snowmobile Racing Associate was born from the former Saskatchewan Snowmobile Racing Association which was first established in 1967 and that makes us one of the oldest snowmobile racing organizations in the world. The SSRA continues to grow, bringing fair and quality racing to the Pro and the One Day Racer.

Our goal is to support the sport of snowmobile drag racing by keeping it safe, fair and fun for all competitors.

There is much involved in the sanctioning of a snowmobile race and the SSRA has the staff and equipment to execute a race in the smoothest possible fashion. Some of the equipment used by the SSRA includes a digital scale for weighing sleds and riders, a Track Mate starting tree and timing system, fuel testing equipment, back-up starting and finish line systems, generators and various other pieces of equipment to facilitate the registration and operation of a snowmobile drag race. Perhaps the most important is our experienced staff which put these tools to use to help host a successful event.

Schedule is subject to change. If changes occur, we will provide as much notice as possible.

2022-2023 Classes and Rules
Updated: Sep 15, 2022

After considering feedback on our proposed classes and rules for the upcoming season, we have made refinements and posted them on the Classes page of the site.

As a result of significant feedback, there will be 2 classes in the mountain category, Deep Snow Super Stock and Mountain Open. Minor changes in Deep Snow should incorporate sleds from the removed Mountain Improved class.

Rather than using the last posted weights by the ISR for snow drags, we have adopted the latest weights used on ice and grass. Again this change was a result of feedback received.

The Classes page outlines the updated classes and rules and contains links to the Weight Reference Chart as well as the exceptions we have made to the ISR rules.

We have attempted to strike a balance of many factors including simplification and increased participation, and would like to thank all those who sent us their thoughts. We would also like to remind everyone that the race director may re-classify any sled in the interest of fair competition.

SSRA Sanctioned Classes
These are the standard classes sanctioned by the SSRA for the 2022-2023 season. The Race Director reserves the right to reclassify any sled in the interest of fair competition.
