EMRA Round 4

Volunteer

The best way to watch a race is to be in it on a bike, the 2nd best way to watch, is to volunteer & be involved in the race. So if you are not racing come-out & volunteer.

Road Racing Bikes Volunteer positions:
Race Director, Clerk of the Coarse, Referee, Starter, Chief Coarse Marshal, Corner Captain, Communicator, Yellow Flagger, Safety, Pri-grid, Pit lane marhsal, Rescue personnel: Ambulance crew, Fireman & Clean-up Crew, Track Announcer, Timing personnel, (Tech), Registration & Back Gate.

My favorite way to volunteer is as a track-side marshal/corner worker. Road course marshals are race personnel that surround the road course track at specified stations that communicate to riders with flags and each other on radios.

The EMRA (Edmonton Motorcycle Roadracers Association) is in DESPERATE NEED OF MARSHALS THIS COMING WEEKEND! Flagging bikes is a blast! Flagging procedures are a little different, but easy to learn. Castrol Raceway 730 am in front of the Argyll Motorsports tent close to the Pit Out station on the track.

For more information on Volunteering: Tricia Reese 411ninja@gmail.com

DRAG STRIP: IHRA DIVISION 6 TEAM FINALS (Top E) Competitor & Spectator Gates Open at 8 AM, Racing starts at 9:30 AM. Spectators: Adult $20, Youth $10, Kids 5 & Under FREE!

OVAL TRACK: OVAL STOCK & SPRINT SERIES NITE THUNDER. Fun for the whole family! Fans are on their edge of their seats as these high tech cars thunder down the straightaway reaching speeds over 200 kmph! During intermission fans may have the opportunity to meet the race car drivers and see their cars up close! Spectators: Adult $20, Youth $10, Kids 5 & Under FREE

SUNDAY, AUGUST 14
