Car 48 Jimmie Johnson Lowe’s/Kobalt Tools Chevrolet
If momentum counts for anything watch for Car 48 Jimmie Johnson Lowe’s/Kobalt Tools Chevrolet to continue their wining ways at Pocono 400 this Sunday. Having back to back wins, Crew Chief: Chad Knaus’ favorite track & the fact that Jimmie Johnson won the race last year in June, watch for the whole team to bring their A game. The team has won 3 in a row before, so it’s not out the question to say they will continue to cement the drive for the Chase for a 7th championship.

Car 5 Kasey Kahne Farmers Insurance Chevrolet
The pressure is on for Car 5 Kasey Kahne Farmers Insurance Chevrolet to get a win to make the Chase, he also the only Hendrick Motorsports car not able to get a win yet this year. Hendrick engines have done so well this year & the fact that Kasey Kahne has won at Pocono before he could be a contender.

Car 20 Matt Kenseth Dollar General Toyota
The points leader needs a win this year and now has 10 top-10 finishes, more than anyone else. Look for Car 20 Matt Kenseth Dollar General Toyota pulling out all the stops to get a win as last year’s contender, I think he is due.

Car 2 Brad Keselowski Miller Lite Ford and Car 22 Joey Logano Shell Pennzoil Ford
Look for both cars to do well in knock-out qualifying as they have been this season, the largest competition to the Hendrick engines.

Car 4 Kevin Harvick Budweiser Chevrolet
Expect Car 4 Kevin Harvick Budweiser Chevrolet to rebound after last weekends 17th place finish & return to the Top 10 if not threaten to win with his Hendrick engine.

Car 24 Jeff Gordon Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet
This has been the best season for years for Car 24 Jeff Gordon Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet, if Gordon’s back can hold out look for him in the top 5 or winning his 2nd race of the year.

NASCAR Nationwide Series

Regan Smith and second-place Elliott Sadler are only separated by four points in the NASCAR Nationwide Series championship standings. Smith has a series-leading 12 top-10 finishes, including the season-opening win at Daytona. While Sadler has an average finish of 8.6 with five top-five finishes including a win at Talladega.

Sunoco Rookie of the Year:

Chase Elliott – 33-Point lead in the rookie standings but he also has 2 wins: Texas, Darlington, six top fives, nine top 10s with an average finish of 9.4. He also has led the overall series driver standings for five races this season; he is currently third in points, 22 back from Regan Smith.

Ty Dillon – Car 3 car in the NNS this season, and is second in the Sunoco Rookie standings. Dillon has posted nine top-10 finishes and a pole this season. His average finishing position is 9.7. Dillon is fifth in the overall series driver standings, 34 points back from Regan Smith.

Chris Buescher – Chris is third in the rookie standings and ninth in the overall driver standings. Separated by 64 points from Chase Elliott in the Sunoco Rookie standings, Buescher has posted one top five and four top 10s this season. His average finish in 2014 is 14.3.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series

Standalone season begins for the truck series as four of the next five races on the schedule will be standalone events. After Texas this week, the series will be the feature event at Gateway Motorsports Park (June 14), Iowa Speedway (July 11) and Eldora Speedway (July 23). The series will be part of a national series tripleheader at Kentucky Speedway on the weekend of June 26-28, racing on the 26th.
