(Nisku, AB.) – 0-100 mph in less than a second?! You’ve got it! Castrol Raceway is once again thrilled to play host to Canada’s biggest drag racing event, the IHRA MOPAR Rocky Mountain Nitro Jam Nationals THIS WEEKEND! (July 17-19, 2015.)
Race fans, families and adrenaline junkies will experience all the ground-pounding excitement of Top Fuel Dragsters, and all the nitro-powered mayhem that makes up the IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing series. And that’s just during the day! The Friday and Saturday evening races, known as Night of Fire, will feature Pro Qualifying fused with choreography of pyrotechnics, light and energetic music making the evening an unforgettable experience.
In addition to the always entertaining Top Fuel Dragsters, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Super Stock, Stock, Quick Rod, Super Rod, Hot Rod, Junior Dragsters and local bracket competitors, this year’s event will feature the largest AMSOIL Nitro Funny car in history compete at Castrol Raceway. Gates open at 8am each day with qualifying starting at 11am.
