Starting from 9th place Car 2 Brad Keselowski Miller Lite Ford won the 61st Annual COCA-COLA 600, his 31st win in 384 NASCAR Cup Series races. This is his 1st win & 4th Top 10 finish in 2020. This is his 2nd win & 9th Top 10 finish in 20 races at Charlotte Motor Speedway. 2nd Place Car 9 Chase Elliott NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet, started from 3rd place posted his 4th Top 10 finish in 8 races at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It is his 4th Top 10 finish in 2020. Chase was on his way to the win & then there was a 8th Caution on lap 399 for Car 24 Spin in Turn 2. The team decided to pit for 4 fresh tires for the green white checker, Keselowski stayed out & was able to last for the last 2 laps. 3rd Place Car 12 Ryan Blaney DEX Imaging Ford, started from 26th place posted his 2nd Top 10 finish in 9 races at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

NASCAR suspends crew members for No. 11 Cup Series team

NASCAR penalized the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing team after a tungsten weight came loose from the vehicle before the start of Sunday night’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. As a result of the safety violation, which is detailed in section 12.5.2.7.4.d of the NASCAR rule book, crew chief Chris Gabehart, car chief Brandon Griffeth and engineer Scott Simmons will miss the next four Cup Series points races through June 10, provided the team doesn’t appeal the suspension.

No. 48 fails post-race inspection; Jimmie Johnson disqualified at Charlotte

NASCAR officials disqualified the Hendrick Motorsports No. 48 Chevrolet after post-race inspection at Charlotte Motor Speedway, striking Jimmie Johnson from a second-place finish in Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600. Cup Series director Jay Fabian said that the No. 48 car’s rear alignment failed in the Optical Scanning Station (OSS) portion of technical inspection after Sunday’s race. Johnson and the team were relegated to a last-place finish in the 40-car field.
