If you ever wanted race before, take this race school you will never regret it. If you wanted to improve your everyday driving the AADS advanced driving school is for you.

To all competitors and instructors please assist NASCC, AADS (BMW CSA & BMW CNA) in promoting their 2 schools. Please promote the schools to family members, friends and work colleagues.

The NASCC school is sanctioned by WCMA as a High Performance Driving school and a Competition Licensing School. It is on May 9 – 10.

The AADS advanced driving school is on Friday, May 15 – 16.

The exercises for both schools are very, very similar. The classroom for the NASCC focuses a portion of their classroom on actual competition situations.

The AADS school in the past has had the same classroom instructors as the ARCA/NASCC WCMA school, however, there are a few more general discussion about every day driving and maybe topics like tire selections for every season.

The in-car instructors for both schools have most often been the same people for both schools for the past 18 years. This year there is additional very positive element and that is many of the instructors recently attended the Ross Bentley HPDE Instructor school. This was a fabulous school Organized by Paul Conquest with Track Junkies and sponsored by Castrol Raceway, WCMA, AADS (BMW CSA & BMW CNA) & Subway.

Both schools use MotorsportReg for registration:

1991 Saturn SL 2 Caged with racing seat & blown transmission

Due to medical reasons I am not allowed to race or marshal this season. I was planning on throwing in a 5 speed transmission & racing the car in the Edmonton ChumpCar race, then Ice racing it in the winter. Since I am not able to race this season if someone wants to fix the car & race. It would be free based on VelocityMotorsportsNews.com Sponsorship. The deal is still available if someone takes the car, cuts the cage & takes out the racing seat based on VelocityMotorsportsNews.com Sponsorship. Otherwise car is for sale for $250

If interested in the car or cage & seat email cpaavola@velocitymotorsportsnews.com or

call 587-349-2520.

NASCC Race Volunteers

Race Volunteers make events happen-from the organizers of the event to the person taking your ticket; it takes a lot of people to make an event work.
Road Racing Cars Volunteer Positions: Clerk of the Coarse, Steward, Starter, Chief Coarse Marshal, Corner Captain, Communicator, Yellow Flagger, Blue flagger, Safety, Pri-grid, Pit in & Pit out, Rescue personnel: Ambulance crew, Fireman & Clean-up Crew Tow Truck driver, Pace Car Driver, Timing personnel, Srutineer (Tech), Registration & Back Gate.

With training & experience in regional events you can get you qualified to work National & International events.

Remember watching racing can fun but being part of the race is even better. So if you are not racing come-out and volunteer the second best way to watch a race, the best way is to be in the.

The Northern Alberta Sports Car Club (NASCC) Marshal School will be held at 8:30am at Castrol Raceway on Sunday May 10, 2015 that will coincide with the driving school.

Please arrive by 8:15am. Directions to the school will be available at the gate or follow the NASCC signs that should be out.

Whites are not mandatory for the school but would be recommended as we will be on the track to practice with the drivers in the afternoon.

No Red, Yellow, Blue, Black or Green clothing should be worn and please dress for typical Edmonton weather.

Please RSVP to this Email: traceymcewing@shaw.ca if interested in school or if you have any questions. They need a head count as they need pre-order lunches and arrange seating. Feel free to bring extra snacks and beverages. There will be graduation certificates for all that attend.
