Car 19 Felipe Massa Williams-Mercedes had an amazing first lap and first corner airborne crash  which caused his car, but managed to right himself when he came to a halt.

On lap 44 Car 26 Daniil Kvyat STR-Renault pulled off in front of marshals with his car on fire.

On lap 47 Car 99 Adrian Sutil, Sauber-Ferrari went into a spin and stalled the car on the track, forcing him out. Some people thought it would be a safety car but it was kept as local yellow as marshals finally got a window to cross track and were able to get to car & move it.

Nico Rosberg led from the start to finish with relative ease. His only real possible came from his own team mate Lewis Hamilton while he was working his way from twentieth place.

Hamilton was fast in qualifying but had a bad crash so the team changed the gearbox for the race and was penalized 5 positions, which left him starting in twentieth place.

Rosberg now has a 14 point lead over Hamilton in championship points.
