NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship in his 1st year with Stewart-Haas Racing for their 2nd Championship. Stewart-Haas Racing’s 1st NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship came from Tony Stewart driving the Car 14 in 2011.

Chevrolet clinched its 38th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series manufacturers’ championship for 2014, earning the honor for the 12th consecutive season.

NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship
Car 9 Chase Elliott NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet won his first NASCAR Nationwide Series championship; becoming the youngest champion in NASCAR national series history at the age of 18 years, 11 months, 18 days – previous record holder was Brian Vickers at 20 years, 0 months, 2 days. Elliott is the 25th different driver to win the NASCAR Nationwide Series championship. Elliott finished the season 42 points ahead of second-place Regan Smith. Elliott is the first driver to win a series title in his Sunoco Rookie of the Year campaign. He also is the first rookie to post three or more wins (Darlington, Texas-1, and Chicago) since Carl Edwards in 2005. The Elliott’s (Bill and Chase) have become the fifth father/son combo to win NASCAR-sanctioned Championships; joining the Jarretts (Ned and Dale), the Pettys (Lee and Richard), the Pearsons (David and Larry) and the Earnhardts (Dale and Dale Jr.) as the only NASCAR father/son champions in all of national series competition. Chase Elliott has become the third champion from the state of Georgia, joining NASCAR Hall of Famers Bill Elliott

Owner: Dale Earnhardt Jr., JR Motorsports
This is JR Motorsports’ first NASCAR Nationwide Series driver championship. The organization’s previous best series championship finish was third (twice: Regan Smith, 2013 and Brad Keselowski, 2008). Owner Dale Earnhardt Jr., a two-time (1998, ’99) NASCAR Nationwide Series driver champion, fielded his first car as an owner in the series with driver Mark McFarland at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 19, 2005. JR Motorsports has posted 21 victories in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (2005 – 2014). Crew Chief Champion: Greg Ives This is Greg Ives first career NASCAR Nationwide Series championship. Ives’ previous series best points finish was in 2013, when he finished third with Regan Smith. Ives is scheduled to move up to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series next season to work with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the Hendrick Motorsports No. 88 Chevrolet team, replacing Steve Letarte.

Owner Champion: Roger Penske, No. 22 Team Penske Ford
This is Team Penske’s second consecutive NASCAR Nationwide Series owners’ championship. Roger Penske won last season’s NNS owner title with drivers (starts): Brad Keselowski (15 races), Joey Logano (14), AJ Allmendinger (two) and Ryan Blaney (two). This season the No. 22 captured the title with drivers: Brad Keselowski (10 races), Joey Logano (10), Ryan Blaney (10), Michael McDowell (one) and Alex Tagliani (two).
The No. 22 Team Penske Ford Mustang team had five wins, 23 top fives and 29 top 10s in 2014

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
Truck 88 Matt Crafton Menards Toyota won his second consecutive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship. He is the first driver in series history to win back-to-back championships (2013-2014). Crafton is the 13th different driver to win the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship, and the fourth to win multiple series titles. 2013 marked Crafton’s 15th year competing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He leads the series in consecutive starts with 337. Crafton finished 21 points ahead of second-place Ryan Blaney.  Crafton finished the 2014 season with two wins, 13 top fives, 17 top 10s, and an average finish of 7.0. Crafton’s 2014 Season-To-Date Loop Data: Driver Rating (106.0); Average Running Position (6.504).

Owner: Duke Thorson, ThorSport Racing
This is ThorSport Racing’s second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver championship. Owners Duke and Rhonda Thorson fielded their first truck in the series with driver Terry Cook at the Milwaukee Mile on July 6, 1996. ThorSport Racing has fielded at least one truck in 431 races, a run of 413 consecutive starts beginning at Walt Disney World Speedway in January 1998 – both are series records. ThorSport Racing fielded one other full-time truck this season – the No. 98 driven by Johnny Sauter. Sauter
finished the season fourth in the standings. He posted one win, eight top fives and 16 top 10s in 2014.

Crew Chief Champion: Carl Joiner Jr.
This is Carl Joiner Jr.’s second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship. Joiner becomes the fourth all-time NCWTS crew chief with multiple championships joining Dennis Conner (1997, ’99, ’01); Mike Hillman Jr. (2006, ’10); and Rick Ren (2007, ’09). Joiner is the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series crew chief to win consecutive series titles.

Owner Champion: Kyle Busch, Kyle Busch Motorsports
This is Kyle Busch Motorsport’s second-consecutive and third all-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner championship. Kyle Busch Motorsports’ previous owner championships were in 2010 and 2013 – KBM’s No. 51 tied ThorSport Racing’s No. 88 in owner points in 2013 but was awarded the championship due the tiebreaker (wins). Two drivers competed in the No. 51 Toyota this season (Kyle Busch, 10 starts and Erik Jones, 12 starts) KBM is the second team in NCWTS history to win back-to-back championships (Xpress Motorsports, 2002-03). The team’s third title ties Hendrick Motorsports and Kevin Harvick Inc. for most all-time.
