Martin Truex Jr. won the 71st Annual First Data 500 at Martinsville Speedway with domination

Starting from 3rd place Car 19 Martin Truex Jr Auto Owners Insurance Toyota won the 71st Annual First Data 500, his 26th win in 510 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races. Martin Truex Jr. was dominate as he led 465 of 500 laps. This is his 7th win & 21st Top 10 finish in 2019. This is his 1st win & 12th Top 10 finish in 28 races at Martinsville Speedway. 2nd Place Car 24 William Byron Liberty University Chevrolet, started from 11th place posted his 1st Top 10 finish in 4 races at Martinsville Speedway. It is his 13th Top 10 finish in 2019. 3rd Place Car 2 Brad Keselowski Alliance Truck Parts Ford, started from 15th place posted his 14th Top 10 finish in 20 races at Martinsville Speedway.

4th Place Car 11 Denny Hamlin FedEx Freight Toyota, started from pole followed by 5th place Car 12 Ryan Blaney Menards/Richmond Ford, started from 6th place. 6th Place Car 1 Kurt Busch Global Poker Chevrolet, started from 25th place followed by 7th place Car 4 Kevin Harvick Hunt Brothers Pizza Ford, started from 22nd place. 8th Place Car 22 Joey Logano Shell Pennzoil Ford, started from 10th place followed by 9th place Car 42 Kyle Larson Clover Chevrolet, started from 14th place. Lastly in the Top 10 was Car 6 Ryan Newman Blue Bird Ford, in 10th place, started from 35th place. Daniel Hemric (17th) was the highest finishing rookie. Martin Truex Jr. leads the point standings by 20 points over Denny Hamlin. After the race there was an altercation between Denny Hamlin & Joey Logano. They were talking in the pits about the rubbing in the race, when it looked like Logano was leaving he gave Hamlin a shove which started a fight.
