Lewis Hamilton Mercedes won the Inaugural Russian Grand Prix 2014 for his 9th win & Mercedes the Constructors Championship of 2014

Starting from pole position Car 44 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes won the Russian Grand Prix 2014 for his 9th win of the season. 2nd Place was Hamilton’s team mate Car 6 Nico Rosberg Mercedes. The 1, 2 finish gave Mercedes their 1st ever F1 Constructors Championship. 3rd Place Car 77 Valtteri Bottas Williams-Mercedes.

4th Place Car 22 Jenson Button McLaren-Mercedes followed by 5th place Car 20 Kevin Magnussen McLaren-Mercedes. 6th Place Car 14 Fernando Alonso Ferrari followed by 7th place Car 3 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull Racing-Renault. 8th Place Car 1 Sebastian Vettel Red Bull Racing-Renault followed by 9th place Car 7 Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari.
Lastly in the Top 10 & points was Car 11 Sergio Perez Force India-Mercedes in 10th place.

Car 44 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes won the 1st Russian Grand Prix at Sochi Autodrom, Sochi, Russia. Car 6 Nico Rosberg Mercedes was tense from start as he took the 1st corner but was too fast and had to take the short cut for the lead. This gave him the lead but he had to give the position back to Hamilton.

The drivers championship is still up for contention as Hamilton & Rosberg of Mercedes are so close it will probably come down to the last race. The only other driver that could win is Car 3 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull Racing-Renault but unlikely.

The only team orders from Mercedes after the unacceptable contact in Belgium between Hamilton & Rosberg, is to respectful & they must not wreck each other.

This race was the 1st ever Russian Grand Prix & 1st ever F1 Constructors Championship for Mercedes.

Some teams are having financial problems racing at this level so Marussia and Caterham,
might miss the United States Grand Prix. This brings up the possibility of the bigger teams like Mercedes, Williams-Mercedes, McLaren-Mercedes, Red Bull Racing-Renault & Ferrari being allowed to run 3 cars instead of 2.

Many friends are going to Austin Texas to marshal the United States Grand Prix so I wish they have a fun & safe weekend.
