The Lac La Biche Winter Festival of Speed is this weekend and we have been hard at work and have prepared all the on ice venues.
The ice conditions are very good as we have had cold to extreme cold for the last couple of weeks (its -24 as I write, and that is the warmest it has been at this time!). The weather forecast for the weekend is ranging from zero to +5 for daytime highs with good freezing temperatures overnights.
Our local highways and roads are mostly clear and in good driving conditions. So come and enjoy a great race weekend and try to take in some of the other events as the planes and motorcycles are back and we are staging a poker rally and a horse and sleigh event that will add a new dimension to make this a memorable Winter Festival like nobody else will do!
