Volunteering is what makes events happen from the organizers of the event to the person taking your ticket; it takes a lot of people to make an event work. The best way to watch a race is to be in the race car, the 2nd best way is to be a volunteer.

Race a Wreck. It is getting tons of attention, as Grant Brown (Super Late Model Racer said) – “The Race A Wreck might be the biggest money event in Western Canada!”. Our goal is to get over 60 cars for that event. It’s going to be fun! Also, it will be a great way to introduce so many new people to racing, easy and cheap to build! I have racers that we haven’t seen in over 20 years calling us up for Rules! $5000 to win, 2nd Place $1000 3rd Place $500

The new Test Drive Cars are really coming along! They are going to be so cool and these new cars will really move the Test Drive Experience up a few notches for sure! We signed a 2-year contract with NASCAR to host the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Race. This year our event is July 25th and we are very happy to be first in the Western Swing allowing the Teams to head to Edmonton first which will give us more opportunity for promotions.

Heinz has come on board as the Title Sponsor for the Hit to Pass Events (3 Events) as well as the Heinz (Ketchup-Catch-Up) Lucky Dog Lap for all of our Feature Races this year. So far we have 3 Fundraising Events, the Steel Horse Motorcycle Ride in support of the Shiloh Youth Ranch (June 6); Race For Fabrys (Be Rare. Be You) – Fabry’s is a very rare, genetic disease that Shawn Labelle (Super Stocks) will be racing in support of this year, this event is August 8th and of course our August 22 “Chase The Cure” Alberta Cancer Foundation Event – The Saskatoon Sportsmen Racers are travelling to support our August 22nd and our Super Stocks will travel to Saskatoon for their “Chase the Cure” Event on August 29th.

Allen & Tony will be our new Announcers working together on Race Night. We will work together to produce the BIG & Small Talk Pre & Post Race Show. They will also conduct interviews during the week on all sorts of racing stuff!
