Hendrick Motorsports Car 88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. won Budweiser Duel 1 & Car 48 Jimmie Johnson won Budweiser Duel 2. It’s been a great week for Hendrick Motorsports sweeping the front-row starting positions for the Daytona 500 & then winning both Budweiser Duels. A lot of drivers had to race in to run in Sunday’s Daytona 500, which added tons of drama. In the Budweiser Duel 2 both Car 34 David Ragan Kentucky Fried Chicken Ford & Car 10 Danica Patrick GoDaddy Chevrolet came back from crashes to finish high enough to run in Sunday’s race.
This was the 2nd time Danica Patrick & Denny Hamlin were involved in a crash this week. They came into contact the day before as Patrick’s car was damaged & forced her to run her back-up car. Hamlin was pushing Patrick in the corner, which caused her to slide & then crash. Patrick’s team mate Kevin Harvick was mad at Joey Logano for being pushed when he was in a corner causing a crash in the Sprint Unlimited race.
