Good Vibrations Motorsports to Sponsor 2018 UNFC Race Series
Good Vibrations Motorsports, a leader in sponsorship of Heritage type drag racing in the United States and Canada, will be the title sponsor of the initial five-race United Nitro Funny Car Series. In a joint announcement by Good Vibrations Motorsports’ President Jim Maher and UNFC CEO Bill Doner, the initial series featuring Heritage/Nostalgia funny cars will have a $25,000 prize money payout to the top five finishers at the conclusion of the 2018 season.
“Our involvement with the Heritage type drag racing has steadily grown over the years due largely to the fact that it delivers results. Looking forward to returning to Tucson Dragway which is a hot bed of our racing customers. Also very excited to be a part of the most competitive Nitro Funny Classes in the world” said Maher, owner of Good Vibrations Motorsports.
Doner echoed Maher’s words saying, “We couldn’t be happier to join forces with a sponsor like Good Vibrations Motorsports and know the racers who take part in the series will be delighted as well.” Points will be awarded at each event for qualifying and round wins with a $10,000 cash payout to the champion at the end of the UNFC season. The remaining series prize money will be paid out as follows: $6,000 for 2nd, $4,000 for 3rd, $3000 for 4th and $2000 for 5th.
All of the individual races will have a minimum $7500 to win and post purses in excess of $30,000.

April 13-14 Tucson, AZ – Tucson Dragway
July 4 Spokane, WA – Spokane County Raceway
July 6-7 Kent, WA – Pacific Raceways
July 13-15 Edmonton, AB Canada – Castrol Raceway
August 17-18 Spokane, WA – Spokane County Raceway

Castrol Raceway, Canada’s Premier Motorsports Complex, annually hosts over 100 races including the nationally recognized events: MOPAR Rocky Mountain Nitro Jam Nationals, Hot August Night, and Monster Truck Throwdown.
