ChumpCar Canada is coming to Edmonton for a Western Canada Swing with a 24 Hour Endurance Race. Castrol Raceway will be alive with road racing action from 12:00 pm Saturday August 1 until 12:00 pm Sunday August 2. There is estimated 20 teams with 3-6 drivers per team this will be an exciting race. The great thing about this race is there is still time to get a car & team together in time to race. If you have a car you only need a few modifications to race. Speaking with Wendy Edwards-Sanfilippo of ChumpCar Canada they will take entries the day of the race, so the more the merrier.

The best way to be in this race is to be in the car racing, the 2nd best way is to be a corner marshal on a corner. I have worked as a marshal at many IndyCar, F1 & other road races events, one of my favorite races was a 24 hour race at Mosport in 1997. So if you have never marshalled a 24 hour race I suggest going it should be a lot of fun.

Remember watching racing can fun but being part of the race is even better. So if you are not racing come-out and volunteer.
If interested in volunteering as a marshal please RSVP to this Email: traceymcewing@shaw.ca
