Starting from pole Car 20 Erik Jones Gamestop/Performance Designed Products Toyota won the 34th Annual FITZGERALD GLIDER KITS 300,his 3rd win in 33 NASCAR XFINITY Series races. This is Jones’ 1st win & 5th Top 10 finish in 2016. This is his 1st win & 3rd Top 10 finish in three races at Bristol Motor Speedway. Erik Jones was also the highest finishing rookie. 2nd Place Car 18 Kyle Busch NOS Energy Drink Toyota, started from 5th place posted his 19th Top 10 finish in 23 races at Bristol Motor Speedway. It is his 6th Top 10 finish in 2016. 3rd Place Car 42 Kyle Larson BELKIN Chevrolet, started from 3rd place posted his 5th Top 10 finish in 6 races at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The key to this race was a late restart that Erik Jones grabbed the win from the 2 Kyles.

In the Dash 4 Cash format featuring 2 heat races & a main event, Jones took advantage of a restart with three laps left in Saturday’s Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 and 1) won the race, 2) earned the $100,000 dash for cash bonus and 3) stopped Joe Gibbs Racing teammate and race runner-up Kyle Busch’s streak of four straight NASCAR national series wins.

I predicted Kyle Busch & Kyle Larson would make a great race at Bristol Motor Speedway I did not expect it in the XFINITY Series race. Kyle Busch said; “The class of the field did not win today” meaning Kyle Larson & himself. Kyle Larson took the blame himself for the loss. If both Kyle Busch & Kyle Larson are again fighting for the lead in the Sprint Cup race, it will one to watch.
