Dinosaur Downs Speedway Statement:
Thunder In The Valley, the Season Finale Sept 30- Oct 1, Dinosaur Downs Speedway Drumheller, Alberta.
Despite cool and windy weather, the fans and racers turned out for one last race weekend of the season.
The final weekend for points towards the Track Championships for the Mods and Hobby Stocks. The A-1 Autobody Outlaw Legends Dirt Series joined us for the second time this year. They enjoyed their first visit in August and plan to return next year.
Saturday had a great moment for 19 year old Mitch Reneau when he won his first Main event. Car owner and father Mike Reneau, driving the #21 Mod in the same event, jumped from his car and ran to congratulate the younger Reneau.

Sunday the Track Champions were named.
Modified winner was # 68 Brian Roode of Brooks. Second place was #9 Roger Bonneville of Calgary, and third went to # 56 Garth Dushanek of Red Deer.

Hobby stock Track Champion is #50 Tim Comeau of High River. Second place was #2 Chet McCallum of Three Hills, followed by # 77 Rob Ford of Calgary

2017 was Dinosaur Downs best year so far. We saw more fans and more race classes than any year previous. We also introduced motorcycle racing to our flat track. We would like to thank all of our racers, volunteers, fans, sponsors and media supporters. See you next year.
