No stops, one set of tires, flat track and just 150 laps to race hard, Daniel Suarez Car 6 Sunoco Racing Fuel Toyota took the lead on lap 32 and never looked back to the checkered flag. Austin Hill Car 22 A&D Welding Ford was in 2nd place, Brandon McReynolds Car 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota was 3rd place, Nick Drake Car 15 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota and Lee Pulliam Car 11 Don Valley North Toyota was 5th.
In a 150 lap race with 8 cautions for spins on the 3/8’s mile track made on the back stretch of the Daytona International Speedway it was an exciting race to watch if you like rubbing. Due to all the banging David Garbo Jr. Car 1 Garbo Lobster Toyota hood pins/fibreglass finally let go & blew up over windshield with 21 laps to go caused 7th caution. He was back on track 4 laps down and lots of tape.
Cameron Hayley Car 98 Cabinets by Hayley Chevrolet last year’s race winner had a tough battle being spun, fighting to get up front just to be spun again finished in 14th place.
