Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull Racing-Renault Wins Belgium Grand Prix for His 3rd Win of 2014

Car 3 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull Racing-Renault beats Rosberg to win the Belgium Grand Prix for his 3rd win of 2014. 2nd Place Car 6 Nico Rosberg Mercedes was in an incident with his team mate Hamilton. 3rd Place Car 77 Valtteri Bottas Williams-Mercedes.

4th Place Car 7 Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari followed by 5th Place Car 1 Sebastian Vettel Red Bull Racing-Renault. 6th Place Car 22 Jenson Button McLaren-Mercedes followed by 7th Place Car 14 Fernando Alonso Ferrari followed by 8th Place Car 11 Sergio Perez Force India-Mercedes. 9th Car 26 Daniil Kvyat STR-Renault & lastly in the Top 10 was Car 27 Nico Hulkenberg Force India-Mercedes in 10th place.

The race starts out with Car 44 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes from outside pole cleanly grabbing the lead on the 1st corner from team mate Car 6 Nico Rosberg Mercedes who was on pole. On the 2nd lap, Hamilton was leading when team mate Rosberg dived on the inside of Les Combes corner making contact with Hamilton’s tire, puncturing it, Rosberg’s front wing was then damaged it. These actions then opened the door for the other teams to fight for the win. Car 3 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull Racing-Renault was able to hold off the hard charging Car 6 Nico Rosberg Mercedes to take the checkered flag.

This was a great race for Daniel Ricciardo for his 3rd win of the season, the only other driver to win a race this season. The fans liked Car 3 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull Racing-Renault & 3rd place Car 77 Valtteri Bottas Williams-Mercedes on the podium but all you could hear for Car 6 Nico Rosberg Mercedes was boos.

After the race Mercedes had a controversy to deal with as both of their cars had an incident. There were no penalties from FIA for the incident as this was Mercedes to deal with.
