Castrol Raceway, Canada’s Premier Motorsports Complex, annually hosts over 200 races including the nationally recognized events: NHRA MOPAR Rocky Mountain Nationals, Monster Truck Throwdown, and Canada’s Gold Cup: Sprint Car Series. In addition to the ¼ mile NHRA Sanctioned Drag Strip, 3/8 mile Clay Oval Track and a 2.7 km FIA sanctioned Paved Road Course opened at the Raceway in 2013.

STREET LEGAL EVENT INFORMATION
The NHRA sanctioned 1/4 mile Drag strip at Castrol Raceway is home to one of Canada’s fastest growing factions of Street Rods and Sport Compact Cars. Since the inception of the “Fast and The Furious” sub-culture the demand for extreme sports is ever increasing. Competitors and spectators jump at the chance to see their friends, family and adversaries compete on the quarter mile.
Castrol Raceway works very closely with the Leduc RCMP, Stony Plain RCMP, Edmonton Police Service, and numerous local High Schools to not only promote the sport, but to encourage young street racers to take their passion for speed to a safe environment.
The 2018 racing season will host numerous “Street Legal” events, many of which will be held under the lights, late into the mid summer evenings.
Join us at Castrol Raceway and race your vehicle during the weekly JB’s Power Centre Street Legal. As long as your vehicle is register-able and insurable… you’re good to go! Streel Legal is presented in conjunction with Edmonton Police Service’s Blue Line Racing Association, and the RCMP’s Y.I.E.L.D. program.

NASCC (The Northern Alberta Sports Car Club): Founded in 1957, the NASCC organized its first sports car race August 16, 1958 at the Edmonton International Airport. Nearly 50 years later- the NASCC is “back home” at the “Airport”- hosting a 5 weekend race series along with Driver and Instructor training. NASCC motorsports are family activities. Children and grandchildren of NASCC members are now active in the club.

Motorcycle Track Attack
Castrol Raceway and the EMRA are once again thrilled to host “Track Attack” motorcycle track days at Castrol Raceway. If you have a great time riding your bike on the street—imagine riding on an open track with none of the hazards of street riding and all of the safety of a closed course. An environment where you can really open it up and push your limits. Events are open to riders of every skill level. Each event will group riders into 3 groups, Novice, Intermediate, and Racer (race license required). Also new riders can purchase Performance riding schools through On Track Performance www.ontrackperformance.ca for personalized track based learning. Each event will have experienced riders available in order to help you enjoy your day.
ALBERTA SOLO ASSOCIATION
The ALBERTA SOLO ASSOCIATION is a non-profit Society which was registered under the Societies Act of Alberta on March 18, 1993.
The objective of the ASA is to promote Solo I and Solo II Motorsports.
ASA is an affiliated member and is governed by the rules and regulations of
ASN Canada FIA in association with the Western Canada Motorsport Association.
ASA currently hosts a series of Solo II and Lapping events each season (April to October)

DRIFT PRACTICE
Our weekly drifting practices are held at Castrol Raceway, just outside of Edmonton, Alberta. We offer a place for new and experienced drivers alike to put their skills to the test on our skid-pad! All that is required is a DOT helmet and a simple safety tech inspection. Ride-alongs for spectators are also welcomed with most drivers.

All practice dates are Thursday evenings, practice gates open at 5pm on track for 5:30pm
Bring a proper helmet and have your cars clean of loose items, and most of all HAVE FUN!!!

Gates open at 5 PM, tech shortly after to ensure drivers can get on track a soon as possible.
Practice goes until 10 PM or later on busy nights.

Western Canada’s only Formula D Pro2 licensing series, Spec-D, is back for another year of high-speed, sideways action! All of western Canada’s best drifters battle it out door to door throughout
the 5 event Formula D Pro2 licencing series. Driver’s here will be battling for their very own Formula D Pro2 licence to move up into the big leagues for 2019.
