Barracuda Racing and Dyne Set for Red Bull GRC at DirtFish

Snoqualmie, WA – Austin Dyne and the Barracuda Racing team, hot off the track at the Port of Los Angeles last weekend, are ready to race at the DirtFish Rally School in Seattle on September 27. This weekend marks the second to last on the Red Bull Global Rallycross 2014 schedule, and will serve as the perfect backdrop for the high-intensity, wheel-to-wheel action that defines Red Bull GRC.
DirtFish Rally School, which opened in October 2010, is located at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The 315-acre site is an ideal location for various automotive activities, especially rally driving. It offers gravel, mud and tarmac surfaces as well as open and wooded areas. Unique amongst GRC circuits, there are also 400 and 700 foot long buildings located on the property that serve as obstacles for cars to move between and around. DirtFish was immediately embraced by rally fans, and thrill seekers alike and continues to draw the sport’s most energetic automotive enthusiasts every year.
The ninth event of the season should be one of the best, as Seattle is a location that is a Red Bull GRC fan favorite. After Red Bull GRC visits the Pacific Northwest, only one event remains on the championship schedule: the finale in Las Vegas on November 5. It is hard to believe that this season is nearing its end, but Austin Dyne and the Barracuda Racing team have worked hard to have a successful race record for 2014. Even though he has been prevented from finishing the last few main events due to car issues, Dyne, driver of the No. 14 Barracuda Racing Ford Fiesta, has impressively advanced to every final event so far this season, and is expected to continue that streak in Seattle. The only other driver who has managed this notable feat other than Dyne is veteran and championship contender Scott Speed.https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif
Dyne is a big fan of Seattle and is excited to race at DirtFish. “I’m looking forward to this event,” explained Dyne. “This course is really different, lots of dirt. It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how we do speed wise.” The DirtFish track is .79-miles with a high-speed jump and is comprised of 58.5% pavement and 41.5% dirt.
