Rally racing are mostly production made cars racing against the clock on closed-off sections of public roads that are usually gravel. Events can be 1 or 2 days under any road & weather conditions, day or night. Rally’s can range in distance 100-1000 klms & only taking the same turn once. Drivers must master all types of driving from different surfaces & road conditions. Co-drivers are the other part of the in car team that has to navigate the course for the driver and notify of what is coming up next like a human GPS unit. Having not taken the route before the team starts off blind except for instructions given to navigator/co-driver. Good team work has driver take the course with the constant direction of co-driver on course route & hazards. The rally cars are street legal all round sports cars designed to be fast & manage any road, weather conditions, day or night driving.
The type of cars you will see pushing it to win each stage is Mitsubishi EVO 9, Subaru Sti, Subaru WRX Sti, BMW M3, Ford Focus, Suzuki Swift, Porsche 911, Merkur XR4Ti, Toyota Celica, Ford Fiesta R2 & others.

Access is about 15 km west of Radium Hot Springs on Forster Landing Road/Horsethief Creek FSR.
Saturday’s spectator area has access all day long by using a moderately rough road that takes you right to the spectator area. The cars pass this location on 6 of the 7 stages!
Sunday June 5 Spectator area 9am to 2:00pm
Access is about 19 km south of downtown Invermere on Westside Rd. Turn at Hawke Rd. and park as directed.
You have a choice of watching from the start line or walking in for 1.5km, uphill, to a beautiful set of hairpin corners. There is no drive-in spectating locations on Sunday, so be prepared to be in the woods for a long period of time and to do some walking!
