Lewis Hamilton Wins His 1st Malaysian Grand Prix

MALAYSIA GRAND PRIX Qualifying Car 44 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes won his 33rd career pole on the wet track and managed to tie Jim Clark as Britain’s best qualifier. This was Hamilton’s 2nd pole for 2014 season working to a better result at this Grand Prix as he had to retire early.
In 2nd Place was Car 1 Sebastian Vettel Red Bull Racing-Renault, who had a better race weekend than the last weekend. Hamilton’s team mate Car 6 Nico Rosberg Mercedes was 3rd in Qualifying after winning season opening 2014 Rolex Australian Grand Prix. 4th Place Car 14 Fernando Alonso Ferrari followed by Car 3 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull Racing-Renault in 5th place. 6th place Car 7 Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari followed by Car 27 Nico Hulkenberg Force India-Mercedes in 7th place. 8th place Car 20 Kevin Magnussen McLaren-Mercedes, followed by Car 25 Jean-Eric Vergne STR-Renault in 9th place. Lastly came Car 22 Jenson Button McLaren-Mercedes, in 10th place.
Wet conditions lead to some spins & contact which even caused a red flag. Tires were the issue in qualifying as intermediates were better than full wet tires.
Car 44 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes wins the 2014 Malaysia Grand Prix, this is his 1st win for 2014 & his 1st Malaysian Grand Prix win. Mercedes has been dominant with 1 place Car 44 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes, 2nd place Car 6 Nico Rosberg Mercedes in the Malaysian Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg winning the season opening Australian Grand Prix & Lewis Hamilton winning pole for both races.
Car 1 Sebastian Vettel Red Bull Racing-Renault was also on the podium with a 3rd place finish which is sign of better things to come after a bad testing and race results this year. 4th place Car 14 Fernando Alonso Ferrari followed by Car 27 Nico Hulkenberg Force India-Mercedes in 5th place, 6th place Car 22 Jenson Button McLaren-Mercedes followed by Car 19 Felipe Massa Williams-Mercedes in 7th place, 8th place Car 77 Valtteri Bottas Williams-Mercedes followed by 9th place Car 20 Kevin Magnussen McLaren-Mercedes and the last car to make points was Car 26 Daniil Kvyat STR-Renault in 10th place.
Lewis Hamilton started the race on pole and never looking back as he controlled the race. There was lots of wheel to wheel action in this race with contact in the 1st lap.
